Hi! My name is Simon Paige. I am from the northern Arizona town of Prescott. Currently, I am a sophomore  at Prescott High School. In January, I applied for a summer language immersion program in France through the American Field Service (AFS) intercultural student exchange program.

I have always had a deep interest for all things French. I am very enthusiastic about learning the language and I think this trip is an excellent opportunity to further my skill in the language. Thanks to a generous scholarship, I have half of my expenses paid for. I am coordinating a number of fundraising events and you can find information about partaking in them on my blog.

At Prescott High School, I always keep myself busy. I am an active participant in the French Club as well as being heavily involved in Cross Country and Track&Field. I maintain a 3.8 GPA and hope to join National Honor Society next year. Outside of school, I am the Senior Patrol Leader in my Boy Scout troop. I play a major leadership role in coordinating troop events such as backpacking trips and fundraisers.

In the next few months, my goal is to raise $3,500 in order to cover all expenses of my trip. Even if you don't participate in any of my fundraisers, or you want to donate more, you can donate through the secure ChipIn! widget on my blog. Whatever amount you can give is greatly appreciated! No amount is too small! Thanks for making a difference in my journey!

Simon
